Career Fair at Mumbai

Dear Friends,


 

I am writing to you on behalf of the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) – a platform for all Muslim professionals and willing volunteers to share their knowledge, intellect, experience and skills for the overall development of Muslim Community and further empowering Muslims in the educational, social, political and economical front of life.


 

We, Anjuman -i- Islam and Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) are organizing a two-day Career Fair – Career Fest 2011 in collaboration with Urdu Markaz, Leap India Foundation, Urdu Head Masters Association and All India Ideal Teachers Association (AIITA) (Media Partners: Urdu Times, Twocircles.net, Win TV) on Sat 15th & Sun 16th January 2011 at Saboo Siddik Engineering College Campus, Mumbai.


 

The Fair is targeted towards providing the right direction and guidance of teachers, professionals and other experienced counselors, to both parents and students regarding the unlimited career prospects available after SSC and HSC.


 

We want the Career Fest – 2011 to be a one-stop shop for all education needs with Seminar on Latest Topics, Participation of Professional Counselors and guidance from Experienced Professionals providing directions on various career options, information on various government schemes through workshops and interactive discussions.


 

Appeal:

We expect an audience of 12000-15000 students, parents and teachers from all over Maharashtra. We are cordially inviting you to kindly come ahead and volunteer your services for this noble cause. Your participation is the key for the success of this event.

We have the following avenues for participation:

We need volunteers to help us create awareness about the event in and around their respective areas in group or individual capacities as well. This would include setting up banners & Hoarding, distribution of pamphlets and general word-of-mouth publicity.

Working in a professional environment, we need support in terms of arranging for professionals to be able to come down during the Career Fest and guide students in their respective professional fields. Guidance is required in terms of what are the vocations to be pursued, qualification, eligibility criteria, how to prepare for the courses and secure admissions, what to expect in the actual professional work environment.

This is one of the most critical functions of the event. We need volunteers to assist in Stall Selling, and getting sponsorships for the event. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB


 

The Business Planning and Financial Analysis role requires for evaluating the performance of Consumer Assets Business. Person will be responsible for preparing and presenting reports, as well as recommendations to senior management regarding financial and business results and works closely with Product Heads, Credit Dept, Sales, Marketing and other functions.


 

This position "Business Analytics & Financial Planning Manager – CAB Business" works on Annual budgets, Monthly, Quarterly forecasts, Financial analysis, Portfolio analysis, Daily state of Business report, Data Support and adhoc requests. Position focuses primarily on building and managing short and long-term outlooks while gaining an increased understanding of select business coverage areas, with a subsequent focus on enhancing the forecasting and planning process by working closely with and leveraging inputs from key partners. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the senior management in understanding business results, prepare for business reviews, and for the forecasting / planning process. Responsibility includes the preparation of reviews, decks, analysis of business results and initiatives' etc.


 


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

List daily/weekly duties that account for at least 5% of the time as well as typical projects or assignments.

Spend & Activation:

1. Analysis on overall spends, including:-

  2. Spend based on MCC

  4. Campaign based analysis, example – dining.
  5. Forecasting spend trends.
  6. Analyzing activation trends.

2. ENR:-

  1. ENR forecasting and trends.
  2. Tracking components of ENR.
  3. EPP, BT, COP ENR analysis.

3. Revenue:-

  1. Forecasting trends.
  2. Risk based pricing.
  3. Tracking gross interest rate and net interest rate at product and portfolio level.
  4. Tracking individual fee lines.
  5. Mapping fees and interest correctly to relevant GL's.


 

4. Expenses:

  1. Tracking OOE Expenses.
  2. Accruals Forecasting – example -  cash back accruals.


 

5. Forecasting line increase opportunities.

6. Profiling customer based on transactor or revolver behaviour.

7. Analysis on card authorizations.

8. Analysis on over limit customers

9. Telesales Incentive/ MIS Preparation.

10. Behaviour score analysis.


 


 

Financial Planning


 

  1. Lead and participate in development and analysis of strategic forecast. Annual plan, quarterly re-forecasts and outlooks, and monthly flash.
  2. Monitor business performance in terms of revenue and expenses (line by line),
  3. Consolidate overall financial results, and provide senior management with timely feedback on underperformance, arising risks, and opportunities.
  4. Manage expenses with in approved budget/plan·
  5. Responsible for preparing monthly forecast of P&L and Asset size
  6. Responsible for the preparation of the monthly CAB business review.
  7. Responsible for ongoing analysis of financial results and key indicators
  8. Ensure that the tracking is inline with Samba policies
  9. Co ordinate in establishing BP&A functions in Samba UAE
  10. Coordinate with BP&A, FinCon, Credit, Sales and Ops etc


 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Include only those qualifications/experience absolutely necessary to perform the job.

  • Education & qualifications (include Membership of professional bodies):


 

MBA in Finance / Economics with necessary IT skilss

Or MS in Statistics with necessary IT skills

OR

Chartered Accountant / Cost accountant / Management Accountant with necessary IT skills

9. Operate forklift, trucks, and/or railcars.
10. Complete daily logs.
11. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on
forklift, truck, and/or railcar.

13. Clean and maintain work area.
14. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in
use.
15. Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work.
