Position Overview:


 

To sell telecom products and services solutions to business clients, the Sales Specialist will be responsible for building and executing a strategic account strategy to drive new client acquisitions. The Sales Specialist will possess the ability to sell Business communication solutions within the company product portfolio utilizing a depth of knowledge in the product set to resolve business needs. This is a customer-facing role requiring the ability to interface effectively with high profile customers.

Client relationships are developed and maintained.

Client needs are understood and a competitive sales solution is recommended.


 


 

Responsibilities:


 

• Active involvement in the execution of the business/account plans with a focus on new account acquisition and growth within the corporate market

• Client thought leadership: Creates and delivers winning proposals based on collaborative value creation with clients in alignment with their business strategies and needs

• Builds integrated value propositions and employs effective need creation sales techniques to build and drive opportunities.

• Makes effective choices about resource utilization based on client strategic value, lifetime customer value, and client business needs

• Prospect actively to uncover new opportunities to enhance client within the account territory and work with the Account Manager to determine best approach

• Build and manage a strategic view of assigned account base

• Maintain accurate sales reports, disciplined in funnel management and sales forecasting

• Maintain superior knowledge of offerings, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies, and their ability to deliver differentiated value to clients

Required Skills & Abilities:

• A successful background in developing new markets and proven record in solution selling

• Ability to manage and grow the relationship with medium to large account[s]

• Fair level familiarity with corporate communication solutions and applications

• Demonstrated competency to consistently sell various communication products

• Ability to foster a trust based relationship with the customer

• Solutions approach to selling - value at the application level

• Ability to manage and support complex sales and customer interfacing processes

• Bias for action and strong personal drive

• Problem solving ability - questioning and analysis

• Proven ability to effectively manage complex sales cycles to completion

• Strong analytical, financial. and business acumen

• Professional communication and presentation skills - including active listening skills

Education and Certifications:


 

• University or post-secondary education degree is preferred


 


 


 

Required Experience:


 

• Minimum 2 years of successful B2B Account Management experience in the telecommunications or technology industry

• Consistent high performance against sales targets

• Successful background selling and managing customer relationships in the mid-market

• Leadership ability
